This may get lost in the reviews but I think this was fantastically done. My favourite part of this video was all the little references to olden-days cartoons that made it all the more authentic. I specifically loved the intro which brought me right back to the City of Townsville. I enjoyed the characterisation of the annoyingly adorable Private Thirstaker, though her voice lines sounded blurry - it'd be awesome if Ms. Vicky invested in a better microphone. The art and animation had some glaring flaws that I will not point out because the cartoony effects, visual gags and shot angles and character mannerisms were done amazingly, which distracted from them. Overall, super-good job, and I'm excited for part two! ^__^

Hey dude! Thanks so much for the review, I really appreciate it!

This is one of the nicest comments I’ve gotten c: I’m glad you loved my work!

I knew someone was eventually gonna point out the mic quality for Private, but well, time was-a-ticking & I did what I could at the time.
[Luckily I just recently invested in a better mic hahaha]

Love how well this was put together. The character designs are simple but cute and funny, and the sleepy character resigning to their sleepless fate came through hilariously in the facial expressions. Makes me happy to see such strikingly effective portrayals of these small, ubiquitous experiences here on Newgrounds.

Likely will get lost in the reviews that are bound to be flooding in, but I want to say that this was so well-executed. I love the simplistic art style, the dull 3D environments could be unappealing to some but I personally really enjoyed the way you've made them look since it fits the atmosphere amazingly. Awesome.

It's a good thing I read every review I get. Thanks for the kind words! That was basically my objective with the sets. I like to have the lighting do most of the heavy lifting when I'm strapped for time on details. Plus, both sets are based on real locations, with the apartment closely resembling Ethan's when he was in university.

Fantastic work. The art style has an amateurish quality, but I mean that in the best way possible since it looks so dynamic and full of life because ot it. I love the way you interpreted the character forms, and your sense of weight, movement and timing is wonderful. Amazing job especially since it's your first time, would love to see a part two or more stuff like this.

There’s a whole second part I cut for time where he travels through the city, interacts with my fav NG characters, and beats the shit out of Boyfriend lol, maybe I’ll finish it someday. Thank you so much for your feedback, I appreciate the perspective!!!!

What a surprise, I'm working on something Eva-related too right now. I love the hilarious juxtaposition of 2D and 3D, it genuinely looks great, plus all the references tossed in.
P.S.: Gave this a four stars initially, bumped it up to five after hearing that Miku cover and seeing that ominously rotating body pillow at the end.

I love it when people take the time to write longer reviews like this. I really appreciate getting a look into the thought process.
